Join the National Academies on July 16th and 17th for the second annual Climate Crossroads Summit.

At the Summit, experts and community stakeholders will come together to discuss current and emerging solutions to confront the climate crisis at the scale and scope needed. The sessions will have common threads throughout, including both national and international perspectives and a strong focus on solutions, including decarbonizing the economy.

Agenda Overview
Throughout the Summit, we will hear from experts in a range of different fields about the current and emerging solutions to address climate change as well as learn about ongoing climate activities from across the National Academies. Visit the event page for the most up-to-date details.

Day 1 Panel Topics:
· Artificial Intelligence and Climate Change: Exploring approaches for leveraging this technology to help address climate change while accounting for potential risks.
· Nature-Based Solutions: Diving into the benefits, barriers, and success stories of implementing these approaches.
· The Future of Transboundary Water Management: Examining questions around governance and exploring areas for collaborative management to ensure availability of water resources for humans and ecosystems alike.
· Health of the Planet and its People: Covering the interconnections of the Earth's living and non-living systems.
Day 2 Panel Topics:
· Higher Education Transformative Climate Action: Discussing the critical role this sector can and does play in advancing climate action.
· Inequality and Climate Change: Analyzing how we can advance climate solutions, both domestic and globally, in light of the growing inequality.
· Transportation Infrastructure: Digging into how engineers and planners are assessing the climate vulnerability of our transportation infrastructure and how we can support resilient systems.
Climate Science in the Courts: Delving into the challenges and opportunities around the use of scientific evidence in climate-related litigation and the implications of courts adjudicating disputes over legal responsibilities for climate change.
