Happy hour gathering - socialize and discuss plans

Please RSVP so we know if we should reserve a large table.

Where: Audrey's Pizza oven & Free Fall Brewery
806 North 7th Avenue in Bozeman

When: on the Third Thursday of each month (except Nov and Dec.) starting at about 4:30pm (Happy Hour ends at 5pm). Arrive a bit early because parking is limited. We will try to be near the door of the parking lot entrance so we can get a large table.

Why?

- Meet other paddlers and make new friends
- Ask questions about our upcoming events
- Understand why it's becoming really hard to reserve good sites (and it will continue to get worse)
- Share ideas !

Our first 2025 event (Chisholm campground at nearby Hyalite Reservoir) is only about two weeks away! There are only 10 campsites and 10 people have already signed up to attend but not necessarily stay for the night (s). Follow up with Kerie.

Our largest event (at least in terms of planning) is the Big Springs event South of West Yellowstone only a week later. We have reserved a basic building for three nights with room for 100 people and with a parking area the size of a football field. It is back in the woods. Basically we have the area to ourselves except for animals: last year a nearby mountain lion was screaming at dawn and a distant mountain lion answered.
This is our most difficult location to reserve. Competition is intense.
A rough estimated cost for the three night event is $80 per person depending on how many participate. Plus contribute to providing an evening dish for all and some appetizers. The building is essentially one big room with a high ceiling; you bring your own camper van or folding cot and sleeping bag) See more info on our website.

On our Meetup site look for Photos - then scroll back in time for events about the first week of June of every year. That should give you a realistic idea of the event.
