Details

• What we'll do
In case you haven’t noticed, LED lighting has taken over the world! These useful, efficient, versatile electronic components are a central part of many maker projects, as well as many cutting edge fields of research. In this Makerspace class you’ll learn about LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes), and the basics of electrical circuits. The project will be to build a working flashlight: soldering together the electrical components of the circuit, and choosing from a few different technical options to create a structure and housing. No experience with electricity, soldering, or making of any sort is required to take this class, all are welcome.

$20 class fee
$10 discounted fee for members of BMS
All necessary tools and materials will be provided.

This class is designed for adults, but has no specific minimum age as long as participants are responsible and attentive. Participants under 18 will need a waiver signed by parent/guardian, and participants under 14 must have an adult with them for the class
