Let`s go BPM Stuttgart! First MeetUp with snacks, drinks and talks.

Details

We`d like to finally bring to life this group and announce the first BPM Stuttgart MeetUp. It will take place on Thursday, November 29 at 6:30pm at Experinate in downtown Stuttgart.

There will be two talks at our first BPM Meetup:

Talk 1: „Evolution and Advances in Open Source BPM technology“ - Paul Holmes-Higgin
(Bio: https://paulhh.wordpress.com/about/)
„Open source BPM technology really kicked off in 2003 with jBPM 1.0 and since has gone through several evolutionary generations. In this talk, Paul will highlight the innovations in those iterations and then focus on the current, 6th generation of Activiti as seen in Flowable 6. Market focus on Digital Transformation Platforms has opened new opportunities and challenges for BPM and Paul will show how Flowable is addressing them. In this talk Paul will cover:
How Flowable 6 is outperforming the 5th gen. PVM (Process Virtual Machine) approach
Why it doesn’t require a SQL DB
How the Flowable 6 engine achieves its dynamic behaviour
How this is being used in conjunction with Machine Learning“
Language: Englisch

Talk 2: “Conversational BPM. Implemented“ - Simon Maier
(Bio: https://www.linkedin.com/in/simon-maier-49448968/
Companies all over the world are facing the challenge of changing customer behavior towards chat conversations, forcing them to rethink their omnichannel strategies and think of new ways for digital customer interaction. Structured processes are blended with unstructured conversations using real time messaging capabilities on applications like WhatsApp, WeChat, Facebook Messenger and others. You will see how the lines blur between chatting and process execution. See how standards like BPMN, CMMN and DMN are leveraged to model conversations and what AI powered chatbots can do to complete a user task in a natural way.
Following a Flowable customer use case in the area of client advisory within the highly regulated financial industry, this talk will introduce you to the Flowable approach of conversational business process management.
Langaue: German or English, depending on participants.

We look forward to great talks and discussions about advances and innovation in the Case- and Business Process Management world. There will be drinks and snacks, participation is free of charge.
