About Brad Wetzler: Brad began his writing and editing career as an editor at Outside magazine. During his seven years on staff, he assigned and edited nonfiction articles and essays to some of the nation's finest writers and journalists. He assigned and edited "Into Thin Air," by Jon Krakauer, the longform article about the 1996 tragedy on Mount Everest that the author later expanded into the book of the same title. Brad left the magazine in 1997 to become a full-time magazine journalist and adventure writer. He traveled to dozens of country's, including some of the world's most remote locales to bring back stories about remote places and stalwart adventurers. His articles and essays were published in The New York Times, GQ, Wired, National Geographic, Travel + Leisure, Men's Journal, and other publications. After a long bout with depression and a three-month pilgrimage in Israel and Palestine, Brad turned his attention to inner landscapes. Upon his return, he became a meditation and yoga instructor, and his travel interests changed, too, reconnecting with India and other sacred places. Brad has traveled three times to India. His travel memoir, Shiva Blues: A Seeker's Journey, has been submitted to agents. You can read more about the class and Brad at bradwetzler.com
