Day trip drinks brainstorming

So I'd like to organise a day trip (surprise). I'm very passionate about meeting people and making the world a friendlier place. So I'd like to go to the UKs friendliest city. And learn! I was wondering if anyone wanted to come... but before that we need to brainstorm and plan. So come with your ideas... what can we do, or if you have any socialising tips for making friends bring them. Let me know where you think we should go.
