The What If Creative Lab project aims to provide a welcoming and inclusive space where participants can explore and develop their creative potential in a supportive and inspiring social environment. Our workshops are especially designed for those seeking a break from the demands of everyday life, feeling stuck with ideas, self-care challenges, navigating life’s difficulties, or building social connections.
This project encourages adults to think in new and innovative ways, fostering fresh perspectives that can enrich their personal, professional, and social lives. Workshops are offered either at a fixed price or on a donation basis, ensuring accessibility for everyone.

Throughout this year, we've hosted many Play Nights.
We've met complete strangers.
We've seen familiar faces return.
Some people came only once.
Some became regulars.
For some, we were just a small memory from their Erasmus.
For others, a family evening.
Sometimes we became a pause in the middle of a stressful week.
Sometimes just a reason to leave the house.
Sometimes a place to feel a little less alone.
And sometimes, we challenged ourselves.It isn't always comfortable to talk to someone you've just met.
To share a private story.
To hold someone's hand during an activity.
To laugh with strangers.
To discover that you have more in common than you expected.
But maybe that's exactly the point.We're not trying to create perfect conversations or force connections.
We're simply trying to create a space where people can lower their guard for a while.
Life keeps moving.
There is always work, deadlines, money, family, responsibilities...
It feels surprisingly difficult to simply pause.Nowadays, "slowing down" often comes packaged as an expensive retreat or a luxury experience.
We keep wondering:
What if it didn't have to be?
What if we could create those moments together?
Without pressure.
Without pretending to be someone else.
Without spending a fortune.That's why we keep organizing these evenings.
We're grateful to be doing it together with Velma Brunch, a café that genuinely believes in community.Come if these values resonate with you.

Play-Based Social Gathering - Evening PICNIC Edition
Praia Fluvial de Merelim S. Paulo, R. João Dias Soares 36, 4700-838 Merelim (São Paio), Braga, PTSummer is almost over... but not quite.
Before we say goodbye to the warm evenings, we'd love to spend one more summer night together—outside, by the river, playing games, sharing food, laughing, and simply enjoying each other's company.
This time we're taking Drink & Play outdoors to Praia Fluvial de Merelim for our very first Picnic Edition.
Forget tables, walls and screens.
Imagine the kind of picnic you would have with good friends. Blankets on the grass, homemade food, playful conversations, spontaneous games, and a beautiful riverside evening.
As always, our games are not about winning or losing. They're designed to help us connect, laugh, think differently, and perhaps let our inner child come out for a few hours.🍉 Picnic
This is something we're trying for the first time as a community. Several members of our community love cooking, and we thought...
What if we created a picnic together?The food will be homemade and shared with everyone. We'll prepare plenty of homemade food for everyone. In fact, the food is unlimited—come hungry! 😄
The only thing we ask you to bring is your own drinks. Since we're still a very small community project (and unfortunately don't own a giant picnic fridge yet 😄), it's much easier if everyone brings whatever they'd like to drink. There is also a bar at the riverside if you'd prefer to buy your drinks there.📋 Registration is required

One thing you'll quickly learn about What If is that we really don't like food waste. 💛 We'd much rather prepare just enough for everyone than throw food away at the end of the evening. So we'll prepare everything according to the number of registrations.
For this reason, registration will only be confirmed after payment.
This helps us prepare the right amount of food and avoid unnecessary waste.⏰ Schedule

We'll begin with our picnic, followed by games until around 21:00.
