Mirror on the Road, hosted by Braga.Design

First things first: This meetup was originally called Braga.UX, but we felt that was too restrictive and didn't reflect our true aspirations for this meetup, so we renamed it to something more inclusive: Braga.Design

This second edition will be extremely special, not only because it will be "Mirror on the Road" first presentation, where we will share some updates on the most expected conference of the year, but also because we will have a very, very special guest with us :)

As always, you can expect great snacks, Letra beer, fantastic people and the welcoming atmosphere you've grown accustomed to in our events.

19h10 - Bruno Martins "Multi-Platform Design: Patterns, conventions and strategies used while redesigning Snupps for iOS, Android and Web."

• Whatmake’s multi-platform products so challenging?Nowadays we see new devices coming out almost every month, each with varying screen sizes and interaction rules.To overcome these issues and to make the product as efficient and user friendly as possible Snupps relies heavily on user research and usage data to help improve and enhance the product. We therefore set out to refine the Snupps experience by establishing consistency and standardising UI patterns, in the aim to create a balance between the level of uniqueness and the conventions of each platform. While at the same time making sure to create reusable patterns and design libraries, so we could iterate quickly and boost our design workflow.

20h00 - Tiago Pedras "TNDS Master Classes"

• In Mirror Conf's first edition, Tiago introduced us to a revolutionary education system called "The New Digital School". In this meetup, Tiago will introduce us to the exciting upcoming Master Classes, open for the public, and update us on the current status of TNDS.

20h15 - Vitaly Friedman "Dirty Little Tricks From The Dark Corners Of Responsive Web Design"

• Responsive design is in. Everybody’s talking about it and diligently putting together responsive websites. Yet it’s no easy task to design and build good, fast, and flexible responsive pages. How do you achieve your goal faster? What design patterns can we use and how do we deal with complicated mega-drop-downs, tables, calendars, dashboards, content blobs, tables, maps, modal windows, forms, and interactive elements, including conversational interfaces?
  We’ll cover them all. Keep in mind: you won’t be able to unsee the things you’ll see in this session. Yes, it’s going to be dirty, tricky and horribly annoying at times. You’ll leave with a toolbox of practical techniques that you’ll be able to apply to your work right away. And potentially some tips for saving money on airfare, too!
