More in this event:

This series of events focuses on Investing in our Cultural Capital for Better Brain Health and explores what we have within our traditions and cultures to support brain health and mental wellness.

Mindfulness, meditation and relaxation techniques can support mental wellness. On this walkabout we will discuss the neuroscience, health benefits and offer practical strategies to help you. Dr K Ranchod will be joined by Nonny Vilakazi, Leseli Niitse and Ela Manga

Nonny Vilakazi is a Palaeo-herpetologist at University of Johannesburg. She has a particular interest in fossil reptiles and the important role they play in understanding the human evolutionary journey. She is also a Sangoma with 17 years’ experience, and this works well with her chosen career as she connects people with their departed loved ones using bones. Spirituality in any shape is quite fundamental in one’s growth and she believes one needs to know where they come from so they can have a better understanding and prepare for the future.
