Earthly: Can we have better builds

Details

Today, you have the ability to build code either on your laptop as you iterate on your code, or in CI. Each has its pros and cons - your laptop is limited in resources, while the build server, although more comprehensive, can be slow it iterate on. What if you could encapsulate your build and testing steps so that you could run them anywhere.

Earthly is an open-source build tool. It leverages docker containers and buildkit to produce reproducible builds. In this session, Adam will walk through how earthly can be used to streamline development and builds. He will take a working application and build a build process around it using earthly.

About Adam:
Adam is a software engineer and open-source advocate. He is currently working on open-source build tool earthly (https://earthly.dev). He is host of the popular software development podcast Corecursive (http://corecursive.com/).
