Home or Away? Artists present S/E Asian Stories

Home or Away? South East Asian Stories of Struggle and Hope is a story-sharing event where Thailand meets Taiwan…meets the Philippines. Artists Minsik Jung and Namsai Khaobor share new community storytelling projects about how a young generation protesting for democracy on the streets leads to conflict at home and how Filipino migrant workers map out a community for themselves far away from home. The event will also include meditation, drawing, and writing exercises based on the title theme.

The stories presented were commissioned by Innovation for Change-East Asia’s Libraries of Resistance initiative.

Event Schedule:
7:00pm: Exhibition opens & snacks shared
7:30pm: Film Screenings of artists work followed by artists talks
8:15pm: Attendees are invited to join artist workshops
