A Night with Playwright Ella Remmings and War of the Romantics

When Ella Remmings was asked to write a commentary piece for a concert series, she decided to take it a step further, and War of the Romantics was born. She wrote and directed this award winning production that tells the captivating story of a real life personal and political culture war between some of the most influential classic music composers of the 19th century. Her show premiered in Philadelphia in 2019 and was a hit before moving to New York City in 2023 for sold out performances.

Ella Remmings is a Philadelphia-based author, playwright, director and founder of Music from Our Garden.
