What we’re about
Bratislava MountainConnect is a welcoming, safety-first community for hikers, alpine climbers, and anyone who feels at home in the hills. We’re a new group growing steadily-early members will help shape our culture, routes, and traditions.
What we do
Regular hikes in the Little Carpathians, day trips to the Tatras and Austrian Alps, skills-sharing meetups (navigation, knots, winter basics), and occasional social evenings. Each event lists distance, elevation, pace, required gear, and meeting points. Car-shares welcome.
Who it’s for
All levels from first-timers to summit addicts. You’ll always know the difficulty before you RSVP.
How we show up
- Be kind, inclusive, and reliable.
- Come prepared (water, layers, headlamp, snacks).
- Respect nature - Leave No Trace.
- Safety first: we’re a community, not professional guides. You join at your own risk and are responsible for your fitness and equipment.
- Be on time: trains, buses, and daylight don’t wait.
- Inclusive & welcoming: Locals and internationals welcome, age(18+) and genders. Zero tolerance for discrimination (race, nationality, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or gender identity). English-friendly : we respect names/pronouns. If anything feels off, tell the organizers.
