January is summer in Rio, hot and steamy, perfect if you are trying to escape the cold winter season, getting tan lines, and don't mind the heat! Temperatures hovering around 90°F (high) / 76°F (low), with little/ slight chance of rain. It’s the ideal season to lounge on famous Copacabana Beach, experience the culture and history, and partake in the famous nightlife scene.
