The De-Stress Breathwork Experience
This rapid-breathwork experience is designed to help let go of any holiday stress you are holding on to and leave you feeling calm, present and peaceful. This will be a guided breathwork session, set to evocative/driving music, using increasingly deeper and faster breathing. The session will last approximately 45 minutes. This experience is open to anyone who wants to breathe with us. First-timers are welcome.
Registration
Advance registration is required. Registration for the event is $10. After registering through meetup, please submit registration payment to Venmo @ChicagoBreathwork Please contact me through meetup if you have any issues or questions and Thank You for supporting breathwork!
ZOOM
A ZOOM meeting link will be provided by email after you RSVP through meetup. Please sign in to Zoom five minutes before the event begins, so you can get comfortable and set up your space. The event will start on time. You can test your connection at any time after you RSVP, so feel free to test your connection early. Reach out if you have any questions!
What to Have Ready When We Start

  • Comfortable place to lie down or sit and be as relaxed as possible.
  • Warm clothes and/or a small blanket - body temperature may drop during sessions.
  • Eye masks can be helpful but are not required.
  • Journal, instrument, sketchpad - anything that can help you integrate your experience following the session.

Session Guidelines

  • Experiential breathing exercises can produce powerful physical, mental and emotional effects.
  • Changes in body chemistry may cause tingling sensations, strong muscle contractions, lightheadedness or changes in body temperature.
  • Powerful emotions may rise to the surface unexpectedly.
  • Changes in brainwaves may cause a deep state of meditation or a dreamlike state.
  • Know that you are safe. Breath through the sensations, yet take care of yourself. You are completely in charge.
  • Plan plenty of time after the session to integrate your experience before resuming daily activity.

Some breathing exercises in this session could trigger an unsafe reaction in people that fall into any of the following categories. Please practice breathwork safely and refrain if you may have an elevated risk of an unsafe reaction.
