Stock Investing Group

January 2026 - This is the Brentwood | Franklin | Nashville Stock Investing Meetup group (formerly known as Brentwood IBD Meetup). Welcome one and all aspiring investors, from beginner to guru :-)

The focus of this group is on stock investing for individual investors. We will explore intro to investing topics, various investing styles (growth, momentum, value), a range of analysis techniques (fundamental, technical (charts), etc.), and available investment tools/software/data/services. As the group grows, we plan to have both fundamental and advanced sessions to accommodate investors at various stages in their investing journey.

We relaunched this group in October 2025, as an in-person only meetup group, at least initially. We will have some materials posted on this Meetup group webpage (or an associated web page) from time to time, but otherwise this will not be a virtual group as we start out. Since this is a new effort, don't rely on the reviews or attendance of prior group events as an indicator of the group's quality or popularity. We intend to build an active membership with a goal of having a few dozen people or more at any particular group meeting, space permitting, and to deliver a quality experience.

Note that previously this group had an "affiliation" with IBD (Investors Business Daily) and was focused on focused on the CANSLIM investment approach. I have been informed by IBD that they are no longer supporting/affiliated with any Meetup groups.
