Brewtrails hikes Mt Fremont Lookout at Mt Rainier National Park
Details
Escape the crowds, catch the views. ๐๏ธโจ
We are heading to Mount Rainier National Park for our next Brewtrails meetup, and weโre tackling what is widely considered one of the absolute top, most scenic trails in the entire park: Mount Fremont Lookout!
The sweeping, face-to-face views of Rainier from this trail are unmatched, but because it's a legendary spot, the park gets incredibly busy. The heavy crowds usually peak until around 3 PM, so we are timing this one perfectly and starting later to catch those golden hour vibes in peace.
๐จ IMPORTANT PARKING NOTE: Even though we are trying to beat the peak afternoon rush, parking at the Sunrise Visitor Center fills up fast and can remain tight. Please plan to arrive early to secure a spot, use the restroom, and meet the group so we can hit the trail on time!
Here are the details:
๐ Date: Saturday, July 11
๐ Time: 4:00 PM (Sharp! Give yourself extra time for parking)
๐ Trailhead: Sunrise Visitor Center (Mt. Rainier National Park)
๐ฅพ Distance: ~5.6 miles roundtrip
๐ Elevation Gain: ~900 to 1,100 ft (Moderate)
As always, Brewtrails is all about great hikes and great hops. Don't forget to BYOB so we can toast together at the historic 1930s fire lookout while soaking in 360-degree views of the Cascades! ๐ปโฐ๏ธ
Note: You will need a National Park Pass or an America the Beautiful pass to enter. Carpooling is highly recommended to save parking spaces!
See you on the trail! ๐ฒ
