🗣 Talks
➡️ Katy Ellington - Threat Modelling: keeping LEGO.com secure (without glue)
A guide to identifying security threats to your applications using the STRIDE model, and how to run threat modelling workshops collaboratively. We will walk through mapping out our architecture, establishing probable attackers and plotting the impact vs probability of potential threats.
➡️ James Woods & Mario Aslau - Using Serverless to build order Acknowledgment Emails: A deep dive into one of our services. Mario will share the serverless architecture behind our order emailing service for our in store ordering app LISA, and how we design and build production services in AWS. James will then explore how this architecture allowed us to adapt the service for order emails on lego.com, and how various design decisions allow us to build composable, adaptable and scalable systems.
➡️ Clement Godard - Resilient Serverless Architecture for LEGO.com: Mitigating Failure using Circuit Breaker Pattern.
Serverless architecture has become increasingly popular due to its scalability and cost-effectiveness. However, this architecture also poses challenges in terms of resilience and fault tolerance. One approach to address these challenges is using a circuit breaker pattern. From monitoring the health of a service to preventing its failure, we will have a conceptual overview of the pattern, followed by a live demo and finishing with a review of more advanced strategies used in the industry today.
️➡️ Stefan Ilie - Stefan and the Payments (Multiverse) of Madness
