Storytelling Circle in Yokohama-Motomachi

Humans have told stories since the beginning of time. The host (David) believes that, especially in an age of constant information overload and more and more online connection, face-to-face storytelling is meaningful and powerful – for business and life.

Join us to express yourself and connect with global-minded people. You will be inspired by real stories with real people – in person.

You can tell a story or just listen to other people share their stories. Each person will have a chance to tell one story, followed by time for listeners to share their reaction and reflections.

Stories should be under five minutes and can be on any theme. However, personal stories are recommended. Themes might include a challenge you've overcome, an adventure you've experienced, a lesson you've learned or a funny, everyday moment that you want to share. Dramatic, funny, sad, inspiring, strange – all are welcome.

Your storytelling doesn't need to be perfect, but please practice it before the event.

Any level of English is welcome. We are an inclusive community that welcomes people of all backgrounds, races, nationalities and sexual orientations.
