If you sit down to rest - and your mind gets louder, you're not alone.
Many people come to meditation hoping to feel calm, and instead find the mind busy, distracted, or self-critical.

This beginner-friendly workshop is a simple introduction to Zen meditation — what posture is for, how to sit, and what actually happens when you stop trying to control your experience.

During the workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Learn the basics of posture and Zen meditation
  • Sit together for a short guided practice
  • Ask questions and reflect on the experience
  • Explore how meditation might fit into daily life

Join us in person or online via Zoom. We’ll end with tea and cookies for those attending in person at the Dirt Zendo.

If you’re planning to come, please RSVP so we can prepare the space and send final details beforehand.
