We are delighted to announce that Professor Anil Seth, a world-leading figure in consciousness science (and a Brightonian!), will be our guest speaker at the upcoming Brighton AI Meetup on 5th February. As Professor of Cognitive and Computational Neuroscience at the University of Sussex and Director of the Sussex Centre for Consciousness Science, Professor Seth has made significant contributions to our understanding of the mind.

His 2021 book, Being You: A New Science of Consciousness, was a Sunday Times Top 10 Bestseller, and his TED talk has garnered over 14 million views. In recognition of his exceptional ability to communicate complex scientific ideas, he was awarded the Royal Society’s Michael Faraday Prize in 2023.
