What we’re about
Got Pipes? Brighton Acapella Wants YOU!
Are you a tenor or a bass? Do you know how to read music? And, most importantly, can you hold your line? If so, Brighton Acapella is calling your name!
Every Monday evening, up to sixteen of us (usually a fun dozen or so) gather at my place, around a big table, for a lively and casual singing session. No instruments—just pure, unaccompanied harmony (though a keyboard is there for a quick note-check when needed). We’re a friendly, informal bunch and have been harmonizing together for nearly ten years, building an impressive repertoire that spans madrigals, Elgar, and the Beatles.
Right now, we’re working on an eclectic mix of songs, including:
- It Don’t Mean a Thing by Duke Ellington
- Fix You by Coldplay
- Les Parapluies de Cherbourg by Michel Legrand
- Panis Angelicus (because we like a little classical touch!)
Whether you’re a seasoned vocalist or just love to sing, we’d love to have you join us. We meet every Monday at 7:30 PM, and the more, the merrier. So, come lend your voice, make some new musical friends, and have fun!
Let us know if you're interested—we can’t wait to sing with you!
