Brighton Bitcoin Sept '23 - Boltcard Workshop

This month Peter from the opensource Bolt Card project will be offering a workshop on how to set up your own self-sovereign Bolt Card! Bolt Cards are an exciting new way to make payments over Bitcoin's Lightning Network and with this opensource DIY implementation you can be completely self-sovereign at the same time! Simply tap your NFC Bolt Card against a merchants PoS device (including smartphones, a number of mobile lightning apps now support NFC payments) for instant contactless payments.

As always this is a free event. Attendees of the workshop will however be issued with a customised and printed NFC card to use and it's my personal request that people help to cover the cost of these by donating at least a couple of £'s to the project.

It's also advised that you come with a lightning wallet with a few satoshis on it so that you can charge up and test your card once it's been created. Please reach out if you want to attend but all this is new to you or anything is unclear.
