ARE WE NEARLY HERE YET? The history of the Universe, maybe. With
Richard Robinson, 8pm on Wednesday 11th May.

Richard Robinson, author and director of the Brighton Science Festival, has just finished writing a book about the entire history of the Universe, from the Big Bang up to the present time (so what did you do during lockdown?). It's for kids, so it's only 13,820 words long.

Obviously a lot has been compressed or left out. Have the right bits been lost? Can it be fun without being trivial? How short is too short when it comes to sweeping panoramas?

Richard would like to talk about some of his amazing and eye-popping discoveries, some of his as-yet untamed conjectures, and some of his seemingly intractable problems, and would like to hear everyone's suggestions for improvements and additions. The meeting can and will be fun without being trivial. It's only the first draft, so there's everything to play for!
