Welcome to the brighton data forum!
We are pleased to present this hybrid event, both in-person and broadcast on zoom, at our familiar home in the Brandwatch offices on Church street, North Laine.
In-person attendees: please arrive by 18:30 for snacks and socializing before the talk.
Remote attendees: we will start broadcasting the meeting at 19:00 on zoom.
We will be returning to the ever green fields of natural language processing. Our speaker this time is Mr Owen Eszeki, AI Lead at EDF whose talk "Introductions to Natural Language Processing; understanding Classifiers & NER models and their business applications" he describes as:
"This talk will cover an introduction into what is Natural Language (NL) and in particular Processing (NLP) to help with understanding two initial models types Classifiers & NER. I will talk on model development, infrastructure to deployment steps with the aim to help understand where applicable any business applications and potential lessons learnt from deploying these types of models. Time permitting there will be a demonstration of setting up a classifier model in AWS Sagemaker."
