UPDATE: this meeting will be streamed on zoom, the webcast will start at 18:45. click here to join.

This month, we are diving deep into natural language processing. We are very proud to have Matthew Franglen, a staff machine learning engineer at Brandwatch, presenting to the forum. Brandwatch is a social intelligence company, which scans the global online conversation (from social media, blogs, news, forums, etc) and mines it for subtle insights, trends, and connections. Matthew is a member of Brandwatch's formidable Data Science team.

Matthew will tell us about some of the advanced natural language processing (NLP) technology that he and the team have developed for automating understanding of the notoriously complex natural language usage on the social web.

Title: Entity Disambiguation
A deep dive into entity disambiguation at Brandwatch - how we discover the subjects of conversation and run that at scale, processing hundreds of millions of documents a day.

Please join us for a chance to learn fundamental techniques and practical tips from the leading edge of NLP.

The event will take place at Brandwatch's offices on Church street. You will need to sign in at the ground floor reception, which will check against the list of registered guests. We thank you for arriving promptly, on time.

Following Matthew's talk, and a question-and-answer session, the attendees are invited to optionally come along to the nearby pub, Earth and Stars, for continuing the conversation.
