Brighton Home Workers Club (in a pub)
Details
The first Home Workers Club (in a pub) is at the Open House pub, Springfield Road, Brighton, in the long side room behind the bar. We'll be there working, look for the Home Workers Club sign!
Bring along whatever work you do, join our table, and let’s all work independently—but together—in the pub. It doesn’t matter what kind of work you do, everyone is welcome.
The pub is happy for us to use their Wi-Fi and plug points, and we’ll be in the side room so people can take video calls if needed. As a thank you for hosting us, we suggest everyone buys something from the bar.
HWC is open from 1–5pm, come for as much or as little as you like. Stick around from 5pm for an after work pint if you like too!
We are Chris (a graphic designer) and Polly (a volunteering manager at a charity). We’re friends through a samba band, and have been running Home Workers Club almost every week for about a year. Previously it’s always been at Chris’s kitchen table, often joined by other friends. It’s been a great way to be sociable during the week and a lot cheaper than going to a coworking space. We all love it, so thought we’d open it out to more people!
