JAVA(script): Using Nashorn to over-engineer a single-page-app

One of the less-discussed features of Java 8 is Nashorn, the Javascript engine. Richard Towers will be looking at "isomorphic web applications" (and apologising for that horrible term). He might also venture into Scala and ScalaJS. This talk will be suitable for all abilities and provide a good introduction to Javascript on the JVM.
The event is sponsored by Brandwatch, who will be providing beer, pizza and soft drinks. Doors open at 7:00pm with the food and talks some time around 7:30pm. After the talk, we will be heading to the North Laine brewery for further discussions.
