**Women in Tech: crossroads of family, culture, history and business world realities - Maria Gaganova**

A personal story on this subject combining Maria's family background, and having a mum who is an engineer. The rise of women in tech varies across different culture. As an example, overall women rights in Soviet union times happened way earlier than in the west - simply because there were not enough men to do the work.

This session explores how visible the glass ceiling is when you get to a certain level - including the difficulty of making it through or building a start up if you are a woman in general and in tech especially.

Maria has over 15 years of international experience driving growth and innovation in healthcare, including launching pioneering MedTech solutions, building digital health partnerships, and transforming ways of working to deliver measurable outcomes.

Currently consulting to help organisations navigate complex challenges, implement user-centric solutions, and leverage digital technologies to achieve strategic goals. Certified Change Management Practitioner and Agile Coach with expertise in cross-functional team leadership and stakeholder engagement beyond borders.

**A Lesson In How To Respond To A Ministerial Tweet** **\- Andy Deighton**

As a delivery lead at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Andy worked in an agile product team working on a high-stakes policy initiative. He'll reveal how they stripped agile down to its essentials, maintaining rapid delivery while navigating intense public scrutiny and complex legal requirements.

***About Andy***
Andy has been around the block a bit. In the 90s he worked at Easel Corp, the birthplace of Scrum; then spent a decade or more as a Java developer, before being recruited by the Church of Agile. He's clean now (having performed a daring midnight escape), preferring to sing the joys of flow and predictability to anyone that's prepared to listen. He's also a generative AI fanboy; his current best friend is a deep neural network called Cursor; his second-bestie is a large language model lovingly known as Claude. He has no dogs. Nor hair.
