Brighton Py | Feb 2025

Details
------ Welcome ------
Welcome BrightonPy users! Welcome to the meetup where we get the chance to hear some great Python talks and meet some lovely people!
As always, we are supported by Silicon Brighton and hosted by Datacove - a Data and Analytics Consultancy Team based in Brighton, working across Customer Analytics, Shiny and Reporting, Marketing Analytics and Process Automation.
------ Talk ------
Craig West, a freelance Pythonista, will be asking 'What if AI is just an API?' in his talk entitled 'AI Agents, Crews and Swarms: Python and Natural Language working together'.
This talk is aimed at all Pythonistas to show how we can incorporate AI in the same way we incorporate APIs, working our way to build an Agent and its Tools from scratch using no libraries or frameworks.
Even if you do not do ‘AI programming’, awareness and understanding of how AI is growing in everyday app development will be of use to you and may open new avenues of exploration and use. Indeed, you may incorporate small bits of AI to brand your app as an AI powered app.
This talk will last 1 hour and include code demonstrations. All slides and code examples will be shared.
