Beginning with an Introduction in the spiritual philosophy of Vedanta, which will be given by Laura Troupe, the evening’s program will mainly focus on developing spiritual practice, instruction in which will be given by Mahadev.
Mahadev is the author (under his original name Kojima Halliday) of the book titled ‘Spiritual practice and Self-realisation’, is in London for a short time to share his in-depth knowledge and experience of the spiritual path, to make it more accessible to people so that they can see its relevance in any sphere in life, and begin to practise effectively with a good understanding of the subject.
Mahadev and Laura are currently travelling through Europe and England giving classes and working to establish centres for spiritual development. Mahadev has spent most of the last year and a half moving through parts of India and South-east Asia, developing new centres in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong and Pune. They are both teachers within the International Vedanta Society, which was founded by Sri Sri Bhagavan in 1989.
The essence of the teachings of Sri Sri Bhagavan is that we are divine by nature. The highest goal of mankind is to realise and become established in our true nature.
This class is by donation. All are welcome to donate as are able, but please keep in mind organisation costs and contributing to tour costs of Mahadev and Laura, who are sharing spirituality full-time. We suggest a donation of around 10 pounds if possible, though anything more would also be greatly appreciated.
