Community BBQ Supper & Story Share

We're so excited for our next event, a Community Supper & Story Share, where we'll be gathering to eat, laugh, and connect. Join the Bringing Justice Home community for an evening at Mark’s Feed Store for their famous BBQ and other great food.

As our guest, your meal is taken care of. A limited menu will be available, and we're happy to offer vegan and vegetarian choices. As we celebrate, we welcome any contributions (donate here!), but your presence is what's most important to us.

Our theme for this event is: To know me, you need to know...

At our Community Supper, we're inviting you to share a short story (about 5-7 minutes) about a person who has made a big impact on your life. It could be your mom, your dad, your teacher, or a kind neighbor. It could be someone you only knew for a little while or someone you've known your whole life. This is your chance to introduce us to a special person and share how they helped make you who you are today.

Here’s how to prepare your story:

1. Choose a person: Think of someone who has had a big impact on your life.
2. Tell us their name: Introduce them to the audience.
3. Share a simple story about them: A specific memory or moment that shows us who they are.
4. Explain their impact: What did this person teach you, or how did they help you?

Remember, this is a very casual and supportive space. There's no pressure, and we'd love for you to join us, whether you share a story or just listen to others.
