What is Wisdom?

Wisdom is praised in almost every tradition — but it’s surprisingly difficult to define. Is it about seeing what’s true, or living well? Can it exist without moral character? And if wisdom can’t simply be handed down, how do we actually cultivate it in ourselves? At our next Brisbane meetup, we’ll explore what wisdom is, what it demands, and how it’s formed.

The questions we will address at this meetup are as follows:

1. Is wisdom primarily about truth, or about living well?
2. Can an immoral person be wise?
3. How is wisdom best cultivated?

This event will be held at The Osbourne Hotel in Fortitude Valley.
After the discussion, we’ll stay on for a meal and a drink together — a chance to continue the conversation in a more relaxed setting and support the venue.
