Arvo Pärt's luminous and majestic Te Deum for choir and orchestra is framed by jubilant motets by Bach. Pärt's music, even in its minimalism, resonates strongly with the music of Bach despite the centuries which separate them.
In this, Pärt's 90th birthday year, and the 30th anniversary of the founding of this acclaimed ensemble, Canticum celebrates with these two composers close to its heart.
