If you take your brunch game seriously, then a visit to Extraction Artisan Coffee is an absolute must. The Slacks Creek eatery makes everything on-site, from their heavenly brioche bread to their flavour-bomb relishes. Snag a table inside their airy warehouse on pieces of eclectic recycled furniture, and order the likes of the classic “breakie bun” with Beenleigh Butchery bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, house-made BBQ sauce on a milk bun, or peach melba French toast with prosecco poached peaches and chantilly cream.

Big news for northsiders who love bangin’ avo on toast and nourishing flavours that hit the spot. Laneway cafe Felix For Goodness is a beloved spot in the CBD, and will soon be bringing its made-from-scratch specialty to a new haunt—opening a second spot in Teneriffe. Riffe For Goodness will carry the creative charm and cosy atmosphere of its predecessor, making it a perfect fit for the riverfront inner-city neighbourhood. You can expect signature dishes from Felix on the menu, as well as new items embracing their dedication to locally sourced ingredients and chiefly plant-based approach. There will also be raw and vegan smoothies, fermented sodas and flavoured matchas, alongside the traditional coffee offering and house-made pickles and preserves for purchase.
