About the Event

Join us for Elevate Design: Mentorship for Impact, an exclusive one night mentoring event designed to connect aspiring and established designers in Brisbane. Whether you're a mentor looking to give back or a mentee seeking guidance, this event offers a unique opportunity to engage, learn, and grow within the design community.

What to Expect

• Speed-Dating Style Mentorship: Get one-on-one advice from leading design figures in Brisbane.
• Networking & Buddy-Up Session: Connect with fellow designers, find a mentor, or become one yourself!

Who Should Attend?

• Junior designers looking for guidance and career advice.
• Mid-level designers interested in mentorship opportunities to level up.
• Senior designers and industry leaders eager to give back to mentor others.
• Anyone passionate about the power of mentorship in the design field.

Please note that this will be a one-off mentoring evening but we are hoping to keep this going and at the end of the evening there will be QR codes if you want to sign up to be a mentor / mentee for future individual/meet-up catchup’s (this will be shared with the team to pass out).

Evening Style -

• Networking from 5:30pm with Pizza and Drinks provided by the amazing Folk & JDP
• Mentors will take assigned seats that have been laid out
• Mentees will then buddy up with a mentor (depending on the turn out – it could be 1 to 2 mentees to a mentor)
• Once all seated on the precint stairs, we will do housekeeping and give you an overview of the style (TBC but rough plan)
• 1 minute – Intro yourselves to each other, connect up on linkedin
• There will be 3 questions with 3 minutes for each one – there will be prompt questions for you to go off to get you started 😊
• After 10 minutes, you will then swap to another mentor and we are hoping you will have a chance to speak to 5 mentors on the evening
• Following on from the mentoring session, there will be a chance to scan the QR codes if you want to sign up for future mentoring sessions with people from the evening
• We will then break up the night for follow up informal chats to carry on the evening
