For the third year running, we’re bringing the Brisbane design community together with Flight Centre to take stock of one big question:

Where are we actually at with AI in design? With AI changing so quickly, are we ahead or behind…………..

This isn’t another hype session. It’s a real look at what’s working, what’s breaking, and what’s changing beneath our feet.

What we’ll explore

Over the past year, we’ve moved beyond experimentation into something more tangible.

We’ll share a live look at a prototyping environment where:

  • Designs are created through prompt
  • Iterated and refined in Figma
  • Then pushed straight through to production via Vercel

We’re also starting to explore what happens when agents begin generating design outputs themselves—and what that means for speed, quality, and control.

This session will lean into the practical:

What’s possible today? What actually works? And where does it fall over?

The bigger questions

Alongside the demos, we’ll open up the conversation to the tensions emerging across the industry:

  • If everyone can design, what happens to designers?
  • Does AI break the traditional design process, or just reshape it?
  • Are designers becoming builders, orchestrators, or something else entirely?
  • And as output gets easier, what happens to critical thinking and craft?

This is less about answers—and more about surfacing the right questions.

Format

  • Live demos (real workflows, not theory)
  • Open discussion on the current state of AI in design
  • Audience Q&A and room-led conversation

Expect a candid, interactive session with plenty of space to challenge ideas and share perspectives.

Who should attend

Designers, product managers, engineers, and anyone working at the intersection of AI, digital products, and customer experience.

Why come along

Because the conversation has shifted.
We’re no longer asking “what can AI do?”
We’re asking “what does it change—and are we ready for it?”
