An April Evening of Julia

Join us for this first event of the Brisbane Julia Language Meetup. This event will be longer than most future events and will have a workshop flavour to it.

An initial short session by Yoni Nazarathy will demonstrate Julia basics – however the assumption is that you and most participants will find this initial short session review.

The heart of the event includes more advanced sessions where Chris Foster and Andy Ferris will share some magic.

The tentative schedule is as follows:

3:30 - 4:00 Arrival and nibbles
4:00 - 4:30 Julia basics with Yoni (alt. continue outside with the nibbles)
4:30 - 5:15 Julia internals (part 1) with Chris
5:15 - 5:30 Short Break
5:30 - 6:15 Julia internals (part 2) with Chris
6:15 - 6:55 Break with food
6:55 - 8:00 How I use Julia with Andy
