My name is Jathevan Anandarajan, but you can call me Jay. I am a tech enthusiast who loves simplifying complex technology so everyone can easily understand it. I thrive in challenging environments, so I chose to work in Information Technology. I learn new things every day, and I am constantly expanding my knowledge.
Transforming lines of code into magic is a part of my daily routine. As a tech explorer, I always strive to stay ahead of the curve, embrace innovation and find creative solutions to digital puzzles.

Gargi Ahluwalia, Senior Data Engineer, IAG

Bio:
As a data engineer, I am passionate about designing and implementing highly available distributed cloud data platforms. My passion for building scalable and efficient data infrastructure has led me on a journey of continuous learning and innovation, as I explore new technologies and methodologies to tackle complex data challenges. Over the past seven years, I've had the privilege of implementing distributed, scalable data platforms across diverse sectors, including non-profit, real estate, software development, and insurance. Currently working as a Senior Data Engineer at IAG, I continue to leverage my expertise to drive data-driven insights and solutions.
Apart from work, I love bushwalking, exploring new places and staying connected within the Data community.

With over five years of hands-on experience with Kafka, I am excited to share my personal journey with Apache Kafka, a platform that transformed my perspective on data pipelines. This talk isn't about technical details but about the lessons I learned along the way, and the challenges I faced in adopting Kafka, and offers insights that may help you on your own Kafka journey.
