Krishna Gandhi, Engineering Lead, Deloitte

Bio:

Talk:
Legacy event aggregation modernisation with Flink

Abstract:

💡 Speaker:
Kel Graham, Enterprise Solutions Engineer, Confluent

Kel Graham has been designing, building and breaking Kafka clusters and associated event-driven architectures since 2014 (Kafka v0.8.0). He joined Confluent in 2019 and focusses on helping organisations across APAC uplift their event-streaming capability.

Talk:
The other side of the coin - client-side metrics

Abstract:
Kafka clients provide a wealth of information that can be used to better understand client behaviour, identify issues, and tune for different types of workloads. We'll look at a shortlist of relevant metrics and show why client monitoring makes for a more complete and accurate picture of application health and performance for dev teams.
