Hey everyone! My name is Mark and I'm a 21-year-old trans man. I've been the long-time host of the neurodivergent youth meetup, and I've been wanting to start a community group for transgender/nonbinary young adults.
It's very easy to feel like we are alone in our experiences and transition. It's hard to be understood by people who aren't also walking this path. Having supportive communities around us, and people who understand and can reflect out experiences back to us is one of the best predictors of positive mental health.
We hope this event will help foster a casual and welcoming space for LGBTQ+ people like you to meet people on your wavelength.
Everyone is welcome regardless of how you identify. The event is 100% free, casual and unstructured so you can stay as long or as little as you like.
No peer pressure to drink if you are a non-drinker. This is mostly an opportunity to meet more queer friends and talk about your experience if you'd like to. We get it!
Find us on the day with a sign at the main downstairs room at the Wickham.
