Brisbane's biggest Oktoberfest celebration is live in just 2.5 weeks!! Great food and drinks plus multiple stages of live entertainment & DJs, roving performers, competitions, sideshow alley, silent disco, and potentially, wood chopping demos, thrill rides, and a Berghain inspired Rave Cave!

Valley beforehand?
I'll be with some other people in the valley beforehand, details TBA but I'll let you know when I know!! Would be ideal to meet up beforehand if possible. Very likely that we'll have a big group so there's loads of people you can meet!!

How to find me
I'll try and get to the entrance by 1pm (and I'll let you know otherwise). I will have a yellow tradie shirt to make me highly-visible (:

Every couple of weeks we meet a Kaohsiung Place in South Bank Parklands for a casual social barbecue and chat. You don't have to bring anything but a friendly attitude, but you will enjoy it more if you bring food and drinks, and people bring food and drinks to share.

Finding us: The Meetup Map Point keeps changing to South Bank Ferry Terminal. Kaohsiung Place is a short walk from there. With the ferry terminal and river behind you and the rainforest in front of you, turn left and walk 50 metres. We are usually the biggest group there, and if I am there, I will put up a sign saying Meetup and a stick with a red ribbon on it.

Bring food and drinks (alcohol is allowed in South Bank). Bring food for yourself or bring food and snacks to share. It doesn't have to be barbecue items. You don't have bring anything if you just want to come and hang out and chat and meet lots of nice people.
It is a casual event, and we usually get between 10 and 30 people at events. People turn up at different times. Feel free to bring friends along too.

Don't forget plates, cutlery & cups. You will need these to eat & drink, so bring some along.

Transport: There are buses, trains and ferries to South Bank and $12 underground parking at South Bank if you are driving pre booked online.
We don't cancel for rain, but might for storms. So check the Meetup event page in case there are any updates.

Voluntary Contribution: We are asking for a totally and completely voluntary contribution of $1 or $2 per event. You can contribute more or nothing, we don't mind. The idea is the group is about the people who come, and so we want the group to be able to keep going, no matter who the organiser is. Please contribute if you can.
