Woodford Folk Festival is one of Australia's largest music festivals. But it is more than a music festival, it is an event where they set up an entire village in a beautiful natural environment, that has folk, rock, pop, classical, indigenous, dance, rap and world music, along with workshops, qi gong, yoga, meditation, art, and much much more. It is a unique experience among music festivals in the world.

PLEASE READ DETAILS BEFORE SIGNING UP

  • I will be volunteering for the 6 days of the festival and camping there.
  • You can volunteer through the link above (sign up early to volunteer)
  • There are many different volunteer roles, from warehouse roles to bartender jobs, from traffic control to audio engineers, there are medical volunteers, IT staff and shop assistants, and much more, and if you are a student you can probably find a role related to your study
  • You can also buy tickets for the whole 6 days
  • Or you can buy tickets for 1, 2 or more days plus book camping
  • The most popular day to go is New Year's Eve, with people partying all night and then watching sunrise while Tibetan folk musicians sing in the sunrise from the Hilltop

SOME NOTES

  • Yes camping means you need a tent
  • If you don't have a tent you can buy a cheap on, a cheaper secondhand one, or ask the group as a lot of campers have old spare tents
  • Yes there are toilets and hot showers at the event (the hot water runs out on busy days)
  • There is public transport and shuttle buses to the event, and you can carpool with others going at the same time as you

GETTING THERE

  • It is a festival in the countryside
  • There is public transport to Caloundra and shuttle buses to the festival
  • If people are driving then carpooling is a good idea

  • Post what day or days you are going to the festival as well as if you are camping
