Meditation Series: Placement, Analytical & Visualisation (Part 1 of 3)

Join us for a three-part meditation series exploring three powerful and complementary styles of practice. You're welcome to attend just one session, but we'd love for you to join all three — each one builds on the last.
Spaces are limited, so please only RSVP if you're able to attend — this helps us plan properly for everyone.

Why meditate?
Meditation is a simple but powerful practice to bring into daily life. Research has linked regular practice to:

• Enhanced overall well-being
• Reduced stress
• Improved emotional regulation
• Better memory and attention span
• Increased gray matter density in brain regions tied to learning, memory, and emotional regulation
• Stronger regulation of the brain's "default mode network" — linked to less mind-wandering and rumination

(Fun fact: a well-known Massachusetts General Hospital MRI study found measurable structural brain changes in long-term meditators!)
The Series
🗓️ Part 1 — Saturday, 22 August: Placement Meditation
We'll practice placement meditation and explore how to build a simple daily habit — just 5 minutes morning and evening. We'll cover the common pitfalls in meditation and how to overcome them, and you'll experience a real sense of deep calm by the end of the session. Alan has taught this program for many years, and students have seen significant benefits from this simple practice alone.
🗓️ Part 2 — Saturday, 26 September: Analytical Meditation
Combining analytical meditation with placement technique, we'll explore how to reshape our "internal operating system" to cultivate love, compassion, and emotional balance. Alan will show how we do this style of meditation naturally which generates disturbance in the mind already -here we will use the technique to settle and expand expand the mind instead.
🗓️ Part 3 — Saturday, 24 October: Visualisation Meditation
We'll use visualisation techniques to complement and deepen the analytical practice, expanding the mind and revealing its remarkable spaciousness. We'll explore how cultivating love and compassion develops a unique quality of mind.

Guided meditation is a gentle practise designed to help you quiet the mind, release tension, and connect more deeply with yourself. Through spoken guidance, you are led on a journey that may include breath awareness, body relaxation, visualisation, or mindfulness techniques. This form of meditation is especially beneficial for beginners or anyone who finds it challenging to meditate on their own, as the facilitator’s voice helps you stay focused and present.

Through breath, visualisation, and intention, you will be guided to let go of old mental and emotional patterns and replace them with new energies of calm, confidence, abundance, and possibility. This process helps you reset, refocus, and align with the version of yourself you wish to step into in the new year.

There is nothing you need to force or change, simply allow the guidance to support you. Trust that your mind and body know how to release, receive, and reorganise in a way that feels right for you!

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠:👇

• A notebook and pen for an integration exercises.
• A yoga mat or comfortable cushion to sit or lie on.
• A light blanket or shawl for warmth and comfort
• A water bottle to stay hydrated.
• An open heart, a willing heart, and a readiness to reset and renew.

During the session, you will be invited to close your eyes, focus on your breath, and follow the guidance offered. Soft music or nature sounds may accompany the meditation to create a soothing atmosphere. There is no need to “do” anything, just simply allow yourself to be guided and observe your experience without judgment. You may leave feeling refreshed, grounded, and more connected to the present moment.
