Join us as we explore our beautiful city and surrounding regions while meeting plenty of fun, like-minded people along the way!

This group is designed for our 20s, 30s, 40s and 50s community who enjoy social adventures and new connections.

Darryl has been a Meetup organiser since 2011 and has successfully organised over 2,500 events over the years. Bringing people together and building community is one of Darryl’s greatest passions.

Darryl organises fun social day trips and hikes throughout the Greater South East, always including a group activity at the start to help everyone connect and get to know one another.

We also host regular karaoke events every two months — a relaxed and fun way to meet new people and sing along to your favourite tunes together.

From time to time, we organise camping trips, weekend road trips, and even interstate and overseas adventures.

For day trips, there is a small $4 contribution. This goes toward covering ongoing website and group running costs. Over the years, website fees have increased significantly and now total approximately $320 every six months. Your contribution helps support the continued operation of the group and our growing community.

This group has recently changed the name, it was recently Brisbane Social Scene.

All of our organisers are volunteers, so please treat them with kindness and respect. If you’re unable to attend an event, we kindly ask that you let them know in advance.

Our group is all about creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where people can come together with no pressure or expectations — just good company and great experiences. Whether you’re new to the area or a long-time local looking to meet fresh faces, you’ll always find a warm welcome here.
