How to Reverse Engineer an iOS Application
Entain Group, 25 Montpelier Road, Bowen Hills, Brisbane, AUWe are delighted to Rohan speak to us on how to reverse engineer an iOS application at this month's meetup.
Learn the basics of iOS reverse engineering and see how those skills can be applied to modify the behaviour of complicated applications; including removing addictive patterns from the Instagram iOS app.
Come learn something new and network over some pizza and a soft drink/beer.
Please note there has been a change in venues and it's now hosted at Entain Group's office in Bowen Hills at 25 Montpelier Road.
A special thanks to Mantel Group for providing the pizza π
This will also be live streamed on the Brisbane Cocoaheads YouTube

From Idea To Full Time Indie Developer - Hear From Those That Have Done It
Entain Group, 25 Montpelier Road, Bowen Hills, Brisbane, AUGabriel Hauber is a full time indie dev with a small app portfolio, and has grown his app business now to have 2 part-time casual employees, with the goal of having both of them convert to permanent salaried employees by the end of this year.
Peter Smith became an indie developer in 2010 and quit his last paid job in 2013 to pursue the indie dream. He runs Fascinating Projects - https://fascinatingprojects.com.au on his own delivering several popular and profitable iOS apps to Apple users around the world.
Join us for an evening of story telling from idea, to success, what it's like to be an indie app developer, strategies for success.
Tap into expert knowledge from those that have been in the trenches and made it to the indie dream of being a full time gig.
We will have a AMA style chat at the end where you can ask any questions, either from within the room or from the live stream on YouTube.

"Water Meets Metal" β Realtime GPU Fountain Rendering
Entain Group, 25 Montpelier Road, Bowen Hills, Brisbane, AUEver wondered what it takes to simulate a massive choreographed water fountain - before it even exists?
In this month's talk, Iskandar (Iska) Safarov will dive into the engineering behind a realtime GPU renderer built for large-scale programmable water fountains. Born from a real-world project β a monumental museum complex under construction in Tashkent β the challenge was clear: design and preview an entire choreographed fountain show without a single drop of real water.
The solution? A deterministic simulation and rendering pipeline running in realtime on Apple GPUs. We'll walk through the architecture, the tradeoffs, and the techniques that make it all work β across both modern and not-so-modern hardware.
Whether you're into graphics programming, Metal, or just love a good engineering story, this one's for you.
