REMEMBERING ADAM

Details

Creating this online event was the best method for Michael and I to communicate with all Brissy Tribute Band members. This event is to give all members the opportunity to add comments or photos to remember the good times with Adam. The date and location is a requirement for Meetup scheduling only.

We were shocked to hear of the unexpected passing of our good friend and colleague, Adam Vesly.
Adam’s passing was utterly unexpected. He passed away on Mon 18th August 2025.

I, Allan Woods, the Organiser of Brissy Tribute Bands (BTB) met Adam at his first BTB event which was the Angels, Oils and Divinyls Tribute Band at the Queensport Hotel on the 1st December 2018.
Adam then attended many events at the Queensport and was very keen to help in setting up the tables and holding seats.
I know that BTB and live music was Adam’s passion because of all the Meetup groups BTB was his one and only group.

Minden 4th Music Festival in March 2019 was Adam’s first festival where he became a regular attendee. Adam thrived on these Festivals making many friends and always put his hand up to help running the weekend.
During and after Covid, I was not keen to continue the festivals. If it wasn’t for Adam’s enthusiasm and passion for Live Music the festival may have not continued. Adam was the reason why we have the tag-line “Schoolies for Adults.” Adam introduced the chug like a train dance around the hall and building. At the next festival on Sunday afternoon we will do a special train dance for him.

I, Michael O’Shea was the Event Organiser for many events Adam attended. Adam was a huge fan of music and attended many BTB Meetups. In previous times it was mainly to see tribute bands at the Greenbank RSL. On Sunday 17th August 2025, he RSVP’d for the Fleetwood Mac tribute at Greenbank Services Club on Sat 23rd August 2025.

Adam and I had a close friendship outside Meetup. We were in regular contact. His last txt to me was on Saturday 16th August at 10:46am stating “I need to get a casual job”.
The last show we saw together was Ozzy, Ozzy, Ozzy a Black Sabbath Tribute at the Crowbar on Sat 10th August 2025. My group photos from that day are attached.

I believe Adam was the bass player in a band called something like Shutter Speed.
Adam regularly helped me personally at Meetups by obtaining the band's set lists.
His kindness, humour, and love for music will be deeply missed by all.
Kind Regards
Allan and Michael
