WooCommerce Meetup - WooCommerce Hosting and Speed

Hi WooCommerce store owners, this is our tenth Meetup event!

Our Meetup venue is River City Labs, RCL is in the TCB Building right on Brunswick Street (Fortitude Valley), follow the WooCommerce signs to our venue room. :)

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

Let's look further at WooCommerce hosting with a focus on speed and the approaches that can be taken to optimise the storefront experience for customers.

This is a practical session where we using third-party WordPress Plugins and hosted services to reduce loading times.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER:

Your presenters for the night will be Ricky Blacker, Pre Sales Engineer at WP Engine (https://wpengine.com.au/) and Michael Visser, Founder of Visser Labs (https://visser.com.au).

Ricky supports WP Engine's local Australian hosting team. WP Engine is the world’s leading WordPress digital experience platform with 70,000+ hosted customers.

Michael develops and distributes free and Premium WordPress Plugins to the global WordPress community specialising in e-Commerce surpassing 1 million Plugin downloads.

Food and drinks

Please RSVP if you intend to join, food and drinks will be ordered based on expected attendees and guests.

If you have any special dietary requirements please PM me otherwise there will be a variety of pizza's ordered; meat, vegetable, nut and non-pork products will be labeled on the box.

Mid-strength and lite to zero alcohol drinks will be available for drivers, soda and water will be also readily available.

Directions to River City Labs

Standard car parking at Chinatown Car Park after 4pm is $15, booked online it is $12. From the park house near Gipps Street or Duncan Street head towards Brunswich Street, either throguh the TCB building itself or around Ann or Wickham St. Here's a link to their website.

For public transport users head to Fortitude Valley, options include buses from the CBD, any train heading North/South. Taxi and Uber services are readily available on Thursday nights. Cyclists have dedicated parking at River City Labs, please message ahead as you will need to be escorted to the bike parking area within River City Labs.
