Looking for calming indoor activities to try? Join this introductory yoga to begin your yoga journey today!
It is essential that we work on our physical, mental and spiritual needs in order to achieve a healthy, balanced and harmonious life. Doing some yoga will help you achieve a more balanced life and improve your lifestyle long-term.
These classes are non-competitive, so if you’re less experienced, you can work within your abilities, or if you’re a little more experienced you have the opportunity to develop your skills.
This class will also include some time for one of the most important things we can do for our bodies: relaxation. Build strength, increase energy and calm the mind with a series of stretches, postures and poses.
You can choose between three different yoga styles when booking:
Yoga Monday – Vinyasa Style – with Ana Heredia
Vinyasa is a style of yoga in which the practitioner flows and evolves to the rhythm of the breath, since each inhalation and exhalation creates a specific movement, in response to what your body needs.
The power must always be in your hands, the internal language is the one that changes, and the alignment in each posture is maintained through concise signals.
In this class the movement becomes your choice, the poses must feel satisfying accompanied by the breath, you move to listen to your body, an excellent tool.
With unconditional love
Yoga Tuesday – Hatha – with Leyla
Hatha Yoga (for beginners but all levels welcome!
– 60-minute class to release tension but also develop strength and balance. We take time getting in and out of poses and hold each posture for some cycles of breath.
– This class includes meditation and relaxation.
– We recommend Hatha Yoga Class to beginners but all levels will benefit from it.
Yoga Wednesday – Yin – with Bruna
Yin yoga emphasizes long, passive holds in poses. Unlike many other styles of yoga, which focus on building strength and flexibility through active movement, Yin yoga targets the connective tissues, such as ligaments, tendons, and fascia, which are more dense and less pliable than muscles. Yin also has energetic aspects that are associated with Traditional Chinese Medicine and the concept of Qi , which refers to the body’s subtle energy or life force. Each Yin yoga pose is associated with a specific meridian, and by holding the pose for an extended period of time, practitioners can release blockages and stimulate the flow of Qi through that meridian. This can help to balance the body’s energy, improve organ function, and support overall health and well-being.
This style might challenge the practitioner to get into an uncomfortable pose, and to stay with the discomfort. To let go of the instinctive tightening response and breathe gently through it. It’s a meditation to deal with adversity.
In addition to the physical and energetic benefits, Yin yoga is also thought to have a calming and grounding effect on the mind, helping to reduce stress and anxiety, and promote a sense of inner peace and stillness. By cultivating this state of relaxation and mindfulness, practitioners can develop a deeper connection to their inner selves and the world around them.
Pilates Thursday – with Leyla
Mat Pilates instructor, I begin each class by assessing the average level of the participants and making any necessary modifications to the class plan.
For a one-hour full-body workout, I would include a variety of exercises that target the core, arms, legs, and back.
The class would include a warm-up, core exercises, upper and lower body exercises, and a cool-down with stretching. Also I would emphasize proper breathing and mindful movement throughout the class.
I try to do my best so that by the end of the class, participants feel stronger, more balanced, and relaxed.
Benefits of yoga:
– Improve balance and flexibility
– Straighten and strengthen the spine
– Realign the whole body
– Improve posture and support everyday movement
– Nurture and connect with your body on a new level
