Last month I talked about Terraform and how it helps you build infrastructure through automation, bringing with it benefits like code reviews, safe repetition and the ability to create exact clones of environments, the DAG, and more.

This month I want to explain the high level concepts behind behind Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery, demonstrating the benefits of standardising the infrastructure deployment process and why it makes life easier, faster, more efficient and safer.

I’ll be using Terraform again to build a simple pipeline as well as GitLab CI/CD to do the actual automation work.
